2021.12.06 08:48 Slight-Revolution-26 I am stuck in a serious loop, any advice?

Ok, so I have been with this girl for the past 3 years, and she loves me a lot. I loved her a lot, but lately I have been observing a side of her which I don't buy. Traits I used to see as cute look pretentious, things I used to ignore such as her short temper look like deal breakers. I also have lost interest in sex with her.
When I told her we had no future and broke-up couple months ago, I hooked up with 3 women, had loads of fun, I realised that this is what makes me happy. She is struggling though, she keeps calling and crying to me. I am an emphatic person so i felt really bad for her and took her back, but I got in the same cycle and broke-up again. She is again taking it worse this time, she wont eat properly, even started skipping work. She calls me each night and cries her heart out. Im worried for her as I still care a lot about her.
She told me she saw a future with me and no-one else, she was also late in her biological clock and wanted to have a family. My priorities were different, I want to focus on my career, earn shit ton of money and have loads of flings. But I am contemplating marrying her becasue I am worried about her mental and physical health. I am trying to talk myself into loving her again and suppressing all of these native urges, but I am not sure. I am afraid she is so dependent on me that she cannot live on her own.

It might not be optimal (bonesords were not part of the kits originally and are hard to find online) but they should do a decent amount of work. Got some mixed gaunts to do next to make a roster.

2021.12.06 08:48 buddhadharmapractice Sweeping the dust away - the story of Cudapanthaka

Once upon a time, the Buddha had just returned from another town. As he neared the gate of Jetavana Grove Monastery, he saw Cudapanthaka crying. A crowd had gathered around him, with someone yelling, “You are a fool! Look everyone, see the foolish monk here!!”
The Buddha then approached Cudapanthaka and asked, “Please stop crying and tell me what happened?” “Buddha, my brother...he…,” Cudapanthaka tried to reply.
“Calm yourself, take a deep breath, and tell me what happened??” the Buddha asked.
“Yes, Buddha. I followed my brother and renounced, thinking I could devote my life to practice. However, I am stupid and dull by nature. My brother taught me a line, but no matter how hard I try, I cannot remember it. He became angry with me and banned me from practicing here. He said I’m hopeless at cultivation, so he kicked me out and ordered me to go home. Please, Buddha, I don’t want to go home, please help me!” Cudapanthaka begged.
The Buddha kindly replied, “Cudapanthaka, please do not worry. I will help you. Now rise and come with me.”
Cudapanthaka wiped his tears, got up, and followed the Buddha. The Buddha said to him, “Those who know they are a fool is not foolish. Those who think they are smart are truly foolish.” Cudapanthaka nodded and replied, “Yes, Buddha.”
After settling back at the monastery, the Buddha then taught Cudapanthaka a line, “Sweep the dust away.” However, just as the Buddha finished, Cudapanthaka had already forgotten the first line. Patiently, the Buddha repeated the line three times and said, “Cudapanthaka, while reciting this line, you can sweep away and remove the dust around the monastery. You can also help dust off the bhiksus’ clothes or anything else you see that is dusty.”
“Yes, Buddha,” Cudapanthaka joyfully replied.
In the following days, Cudapanthanka diligently followed the Buddha’s instructions. He tried to dust off everything he saw, including the bhiksus’ clothing. But this annoyed many of the bhiksus, who began to complain and even scolded Cudapanthaka.
“Stop dusting our clothes, you are disrupting our practices,” one bhiksu said harshly.
“I’m sorry, please excuse me…Sweep...Away...” Cudapanthaka said while continuing to sweep and trying to recall the line.
This made the bhiksus even angrier. One of them even muttered, “He’s hopeless.”
When the Buddha heard of this, he instructed everyone in the monastery to help Cudapanthaka, and that no one was to stop him. Thereafter, whenever Cudapanthaka was sweeping the floor, everyone tried to help him by reciting the line, “Sweep the dust away.”
Diligently, Cudapanthaka continued to sweep and recite the line every day.
One day, while diligently sweeping and reciting, Cudapanthaka found himself able to remember the line. His accumulated efforts over the last few months had finally paid off.
As he uttered the line again, Cudapanthaka began to understand its meaning. He thought, “Sweep the dust away. This dust can be seen in two ways: One on the inside, the other on the outside. The dust on the outside is visible and easy to remove. However, the dust on the inside is not easily noticed, things like greed and ignorance. They can only be eliminated with great wisdom.” At that moment, Cudapanthaka also understood what, in the past, he could not. Little by little, all became clear in his mind.
Excitedly, he exclaimed, “Oh! I get it now! The greed, hatred, and ignorance of humans are the dust. A sage can overcome greed, hatred, and ignorance.” As he swept away the dust, he contemplated, “If we are unable to eliminate them, then we will never transcend death and life. This is such a pity. All kinds of misfortune and suffering are caused by our greed, hatred, and ignorance; binding and preventing us from being free. Only without them can the mind be cleansed, at ease, and free. Only then will we be able to see the Truth.”
With this mindset, Cudapanthaka gradually extinguished the Three Poisons of Greed, Hatred, and Ignorance. He entered into a state of total equality, without biased thoughts of love or hate, good or evil, and emerged from the shadow of ignorance. It was then that his mind was filled with deep understanding. After gaining such insights, Cudapanthaka was filled with joy and went to see the Buddha. After paying his respects, he said, “Buddha! I finally understand what it means to ‘Sweep away. Remove the dust.’ I believe I have removed the dust within.”
The Buddha smiled and rejoiced at Cudapanthaka’s efforts, “Excellent! I am very pleased for you!” Soon after, Cudapanthaka became a renowned bhiksu, respected by all. Yet every day, he continued to sweep the dust and softly recited, “Sweep the dust away.”
This story illustrates the Buddha’s patience and never losing faith in anyone. The Buddha patiently and skillfully guided Cudapanthaka in realizing his true nature. From this story, we can reflect and ask ourselves, how do we treat a person like Cudapanthaka in our lives? Do we have the Buddha’s patience to guide and help them on their way? Or, are we like the bhiksus who are impatient and intolerant? We need to remember that everyone has their inner potential yet to be discovered. We must not look down on anyone for any reason, certainly not because of their intelligence or capability. We must learn from Cudapanthaka’s diligence and his spirit of never giving up.
Just as Venerable Master Hsing Yun says, “Magnanimity can bring tolerance towards all. Benevolence can embrace everything. Diligence can compensate for shortcomings. Frugality can alleviate poverty.”

2021.12.06 08:48 Sam1ls Any good learning resources for career networking?

I'm looking to improve my skills in connecting to other professionals, elevating my career and opening myself up to more opportunities. I've recently enrolled in a weekly online course on self-development and networking called Network This by Covve, which is pretty good. But I was wondering if you have more resources to recommend such as podcasts or training books on this matter? Thanks

2021.12.06 08:48 SporulatingGall If you could add one song to the Rooftop concert playlist, what would it be & why

I would’ve loved to see them do “Old Brown Shoe” with Billy on the piano. It was amazing watching them jam on that, and it would’ve been nice to hear a George song even though he claimed he didn’t want to do one of his. Also OBS is quite rocking and would’ve fit in nicely with the set.
